There is no paywalled security in GeoLocker. Every vault type, the deniability features, all storage sizes, the encryption-strength settings and the privacy hardening below are free for everyone, no restrictions, time limits or ads. (Charging for a security feature would leave a record of it on your account; we deliberately don’t.)

Version 3.1 is out on iPhone, iPad and Mac. Here’s what changed:

Pick a batch of photos or files and they all go into the vault together, instead of one at a time.

Biometric vaults now show how much they’re holding, so you can tell what’s piling up inside.

Unlock Anywhere (opt-in)
For the times you can’t get to a vault’s spot. A biometric vault can open with just Face ID or Touch ID, and a hidden vault with just its passphrase. It’s off by default. Giving up the location leaves one less thing guarding the vault, and a hidden vault also loses the protection of not being openable while you’re away, so the app has you confirm before it turns on. Hidden vaults still stay hidden, and decoys still work.

Do I need to buy anything?

No. Everything that protects your data, both vault types, deniability, all storage sizes and encryption strength, is free, with no limits.

What does the Supporter tip unlock?

Only a cosmetic badge. It’s a voluntary way to support development; it gates nothing.

I paid for an upgrade in an older version, did I lose it?

No. Earlier purchases are honored: you’re automatically a Supporter at no extra cost, and there’s nothing to re-buy.

Are there subscriptions or ads?

Neither. The tip is a one-time purchase processed through the App Store, and there are no ads or trackers.
